About the Artist

Marisa Verdi is a Senior Year Graphic Design and Photography Student at Stevenson University. She has been using art and creativity as an outlet and passion since she was a child. Always creating, improving, and designing. Graphic Design has always been a passion of hers and Photography is a new creative outlet of hers. This is her portfolio showing her current collections and artwork.

About the Collections

If I Were a Man… is a collection of photos and words set up in a narrative story commenting on the difference in treatment and verbiage between men and women as we grow up and live.

Vitsas is a collection of colorful landscape photos of nature vistas from my hikes and roadtrips. The series depicts grand mountains, dunes, and lakes.

Flora and Fauna is a collection of photos focusing on the relationship between bees and flowers. The series plays with both greater depth of field and shallow depth of field.

Mother Dearest is a collection of photos conveying a mother from a childs eyes, thoughtful, whimsical, glowing. The portrait series focuses on my mother at night and plays with light, flash, and texture.

Fire Valley is a collection of colorful photos depicting pictures of foliage and nature using elements of symmetry to create balance and the use of depth of field to add dimension

Perspective is a collection of photos focusing on the relationship between light and dark, nature and man made. The line of separation between the two. The photos in this collection also explore a common theme of unique perspective due to camera angle and placement.
